    In this presentation you will hear some key insights as to his thoughts on what makes great leaders and winning organizations. 

    Followed by an interview and moderated Q&A with Anthony Gell including topics such as: 

    - Leadership 'styles' when to use 'command and control' vs 'empowering' leadership 

    - For both leaders and organisations winning is about focusing on your strengths and core competencies - how to achieve this in practice 

    Neil is one of the most widely recognized CEOs in the UK.  He has turned around the fortunes of Virgin Media since he took office in March 2008. 

    Neil has over 25 years experience in a wide range of highly competitive customer-facing industries. His experience has centred around significant change in business strategy including turnaround and mergers. Before joining Virgin Media he was Managing Director, Distribution, at Lloyds TSB plc (UK).

    His previous roles include: Chief Operating Officer at Prudential Assurance Company Ltd UK; Head of Retail at St George Bank; Senior General Manager at the Australian division of Citibank Limited; Chief Executive at Eastwest Airlines Australia and Financial Controller at ICL Australia.

    As well as being the CEO of the company that operates both T-Mobile and Orange, Olaf has had significant experience with many other brands including Hewlett-Packard, Cisco and other world class companies.  Tapping into this expertise he will share with us some key messages for you and your organization. 
     

    Olaf Swantee is the CEO of EE prior to this, Olaf was a member of Orange France-Telecom’s executive board.

    Before joining Orange-France Telecom, Olaf had 17 years' experience in the IT industry in Europe and the United States, having  worked at country, European and global levels.

About the venue:

This event will be held in the theatre at the Soho Hotel with drinks there too.

For those of you who haven't been to the Soho Hotel, it's easy to find and only 10 minute walk from Oxford Circus or Picadilly Circus.  The Soho Hotel is situated in a quiet street between Dean and Wardour Streets in the heart of London's entertainment neighbourhood.  So to get there: 

By tube 

The nearest Underground station is Oxford Circus on the Central Line (Zone 1) or Picadilly Circus (note Totenham Court Road is also near).  

By car - parking

The nearest NCP car parks are Brewer Street and Poland Street. There are no parking facilities available at the Soho Hotel. 

By Helicopter

The best place to land is at the Barclays London Helliport, Lombard Road, London, SW11 3RE.
